These images are not paintings, they are created using a 1970’s Polaroid SX-70 camera and SX-70 film. After I have taken a picture, there is a period of time where the emulsion which creates the image is soft and capable of being manipulated. It is during this time that I use tools to move the emulsion around (A golf tee or sharpened dowel are my favourites). The result is a unique image with a painterly feel. Unfortunately, Polaroid have ceased production of manipulatable SX-70 film and it is very hard to get hold of old stock. This unique photographic art form is now becoming, unfortunately, increasingly rare. These images can be purchsed as either originals or copies and eithe mounted or un-mounted. The image is mounted into a 12” x 12” black or white mount. There are a variety of frames available for, please email me for more information.
